I was born in Arezzo, raised in the countryside, between the Arno River and the woods, torn between the desire to escape and, at the same time, the stubborn call of my land.
I am the granddaughter of farmers, so Nature inevitably holds important value in my life and in my art: this value carries both political and social significance, revolving around principles of sharing, respect, and the steadfast opposition to all forms of alienation and exploitation.
It’s the same Theater: it loses its essence if it lacks a collective, human dimension.
BIO.
I am a trained actor at the Italian Public Academy of Dramatic Arts Nico Pepe.
Finalist at the 2015 Hystrio Award for Best Actress and in the same year I worked as actor for Slovensko Stalnogledališče in Trieste.
Since 2017, in the company LaFilostoccola / Teatro Virginian from Arezzo, I have participated in the artistic management of the theater as an actress, director's assistant and held theater workshops. I worked with Italian directors including Eugenio Allegri, Silvio Peroni and Simone Luglio.
In 2019 I participated as an actor in the 58th Venice Biennale in a show of virtual reality "Gymnasia Project" directed by C. Lavis and M.Szczerbowski, produced by the National Film Board of Canada.
In the same year I participated in the 76th Venice Film Festival as an actress: Virtual Reality / Immersive Theater show “THE KEY” directed by Celine Tricart (Lucid Dreams Prod.), Winner of the Jury's Grand Prize for Best Virtual Reality Project.
In 2021 I participated in the Alta Formazione course at Ert - Emilia Romagna Teatro led by argentine director Lisandro Rodriguez, with whom I worked as actress in the show “Teatro d’Eccezione”, performed in Italy and Buenos Aires in 2022 at Festival “FIBA”.
I took part in the site specific performance “Bomba Semilla”in Buenos Aires, with the feminist artistic group Vibramujer.
In 2023 I played in the show “TRIC- The Real Insight Challenge” by HumanLab, Denmark.
Over the years, I have pursued personal projects on my own and with the Turcaret Teatro company, of which I am co-founder with Giorgio Castagna.
Together, we work on several projects involving social theater, biography and auto-fiction.

Directed by Argentine director Lisandro Rodriguez and produced by ERT - Emilia Romagna Teatro, the show "Teatro de Excepción" was hosted by FIBA - Festival Internacional de Buenos Aires in the spring of 2022. The state of exception, as defined in constitutional law, represents a regime of emergency; it is the legal embodiment of that which cannot be legally defined. What role does theater assume within this framework? In what ways can it conceal or reveal itself, and how does it become possible? What signs and wounds does this new post-epidemic world paradigm expose within us? Where does it penetrate and where does it hurt? Whom and what does it affect? Is it conceivable to discover or create an opening where language, particularly in the form of performance art, can engage in dialogue and tension with prevailing conventions and the emergent signs thereof? Where do we encounter theatricality within this new world?

At the Monument to the Victims of State Terrorism, with the eco-feminist collective Vibramujer, we executed the performance "BOMBA SEMILLA."
“The structure of patriarchal and capitalist society historically perpetuates a system that normalizes the alarming increase in femicides, transphobia, slavery, and atrocious male violence, rendering us witnesses to the continual devaluation of life. This devaluation extends not only to violence against women but also to nature, which is devastated by scenarios of hyper-exploitation. For this reason, we raise our voices once more, placing LIFE at the forefront. We believe it is urgent to reclaim an awareness of 'being life' and to recognize the interconnectedness between humanity and nature in order to eradicate inequality and violence from social relationships, as we coexist on the same earth. Undoubtedly, it would be inconsistent to seek to preserve water and land without also protecting women's bodies. We cannot fragment life. We cannot condone the commodification of the body, just as we cannot accept the commodification of the earth. We advocate for sowing the 'BOMBA SEMILLA' and for fostering dialogue, exploring our relationship with the primal, to cultivate new forms of care, love, and consciousness. To assert and defend the right to life. To flourish, acknowledging ourselves as part of a whole, where our bodies and territories mirror our earth.” Vibramujer

Great friends, as well as excellent professionals, Anna Penati and Marco Zavarise founded the HumanLab company three years ago, based in Horsens, DK.
I worked with them in May 2023 on the show TRIC - "The Real Insight Challenge".
“TRIC is a show that questions “augmented democracy” and civic participation, reality and representation, character and persona, visibility and intimacy through the lens of a game show.
TRIC is also an app that allows the audience to vote and affect the development of the show. The play follows two contestants as they compete in a series of challenges, inspired by the legacy of Greek democratic practices, reflected on the mirror of our contemporary existence.
What is true and what is not? What is reality and what is representation? What is acting and what isn’t?”

PARIS

Giorgio Castagna and I met in our Academy days. Colleagues, dear friends.
We both believe in the value of Theatre as strongly political and community centered.
Theater begins with human needs and should be thoughtfully created and performed for people, not for art itself.
Taking our cue from the South American masters' suggestions on autofiction, we pursue projects related to communities telling about themselves, through autobiography and memories.

TEATRO VIRGINIAN
At the Virginian Theater in Arezzo I have found a “house”for my theatre, in which I can find space for myself and space to create with other artist, with whom I can imagine the future together.
In 2022 the company La Filostoccola, of which I am a part, translated the text of Uruguayan playwright Santiago Sanguinetti, edited by Teresa Vila, for the first time in Italy. Thus was born the play
BRIEF APOLOGY OF CAOS FOR EXCESSES OF TESTOSTERONE ON THE STREETS OF MANHATTAN: a crazy attempt by a company of friends to make a revolution, through an epidemic of testosterone in the coca-cola tins. Testosterone and anti-capitalism. Very proud.
In 2023, the company produced STRAIGHT, directed by Silvio Peroni, which went on tour throughout Italy and a sold-out week at Teatro Gobetti in Turin. Very grateful.

Over the years, I found myself working as an actress and performer in Puppet Theater, but also constructing masks, shadows, and objects. I enjoy getting my hands dirty with clay and wood chips, lending my breath to something that doesn't have it.
